By the end of Arab Summit: Arab Leaders Affirm their Solidarity with Sudan

Serte, Libya, Mar. 28 (SUNA)- The Arab leaders have affirmed their solidarity with Sudan in the face of any intervention in its internal affairs, and also declared their rejection to the allegations of the so-called International Criminal Court against the President of the Republic, Field

In the Serte Declaration, which was issued by the end of the 22nd Arab Summit Sunday in Serte, Libya, the Arab leaders welcomed the steps taken for reaching solution for Darfur issue, and called on all parties to adhere to dialogue as a means for achieving security and stability
The Arab leaders expressed their appreciation of the efforts of Qatar in sponsoring the peace negotiations on Darfur, as well as the endeavours being exerted by Libya and Egypt for uniting the Darfurian factions. Serte Declaration welcomed normalization of the relations between Chad and Sudan, and called on the two peace partners in Sudan and the Sudanese forces to work for rendering unity as the attractive choice
Meanwhile, the Serte Declaration emphasized adherence of the Arab leaders to the Arab solidarity and a method to solve any Arab differences, resort to dialogue between the Arab countries for removing differences and disunity, confronting foreign interventions and realizing development toward safeguarding the Arab national security
The Arab leaders have praised the Palestinian people for their confrontation to the Israeli aggression, and pledged to support the Palestinians to establish their independent Palestinian state with Quds as its capital
The Arab leaders declared their adoption of a work plan, which included political and legal measures, to confront the attempts to judize Quds and the successive aggressions against Quds
They reiterated that eastern Quds is inseparable part of the Palestinian lands which were occupied in 1967
The Arab leaders decided to hold an international conference in the current year under auspices of the Arab League for defending Quds
The Arab leaders also affirmed their support to the efforts aimed at realizing Palestinian reconciliation, and called on Egypt to continue its efforts to secure reaching a reconciliation agreement between the Palestinian parties
They affirmed their call for lifting the blockade which is being imposed on Gaza. Serte Declaration has welcomed the Iraqi elections and called on the Iraqi parties to favour the national interest rather than the sectarian interests
Serte Declaration asserted their support to Comoros and their keenness to preserve its unity and identity, calling on the Arab countries to open embassies in Comoros
The declaration has denounced all forms of terrorism, and called for convening an international conference, to be under auspices of the United Nations, to achieve a clear-cut definition of terrorism, calling for refrain from linking between Islam and terrorism
The declaration also demanded discrimination between terrorism and the right of peoples to confront occupation
The Arab 22nd summit called for enabling the Arab youths to participate effectively in the economic, social, cultural and political development, as well as enabling the women to enhance their economic, social and legal conditions and get employment opportunities
