Khartoum, Mar. 28 (SUNA) - The office of the Armed Forces' spokesman announced that two helicopter planes of the Armed Forces crashed Saturday at Shattaya area, between Kas and Niyala towns, South Darfur State
Lt. Col. Al-Sawarmi Khalid Saad, said that the
first plane crashed due to a technical fault when it was flying at low height, while the second helicopter plane, which attempted to rescue the crew of the first plane, burned at its engine after sand entered in it
He affirmed that no one of the crews of the two planes was injured and all of them returned to their bases safely
He said that there were no indicators of a subversive work in the crash of the two planes, adding that there were no charges directed to any one
