Doha, Mar. 18 (SUNA)- The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Hamad bin Jasim bin Jabr Al-Thani, hoped that the peace process in Darfur will be completed and final agreement will be signed for ending the suffering of the people of Darfur and
realizing rehabilitation and development in Darfur
At a joint press conference with the Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, Thursday in Doha after the signing of a framework agreement and a cease-fire agreement by the government and the Liberation and Justice Movement, Sheikh Hamad bin Jasim described the signing of the two agreements as an important accomplishment which is similar to the framework agreement which was signed earlier between the government and the Justice and Equality Movement. He said that an agreement of ceasefire is ready now for signing and that aspects of the final peace agreement have appeared and needy now for the initiative of the parties to discuss the final details
He said that the whole world is now concerned with Darfur issue; therefore the international efforts shall be continued toward achieving a lasting peace in Darfur, adding that the agreements shall be supported by implementation and development
He hoped that the coming Donors Conference for Rehabilitation and Development in Darfur will be supporting to the Bank for Development in Darfur, adding that Qatar will contribute with a big share in the capital of this bank
