Khartoum, Mar. 15 (SUNA) - The German Der Spiegel magazine Monday interviewed the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, on a number of current issues in Sudan
In the interview, President Al-Bashir responded to questions on the
reality of the situation in Sudan and the root causes of Darfur issue
He criticized the role of the western mass media in distorting facts of the situation in Sudan
President Al-Bashir spoke about the coming elections in Sudan, the referendum on the future of south Sudan, the talks on the Nile water, the Sudanese - European relations, the Sudanese - American relations, Sudan stance toward the so-called International Criminal Court (ICC) and Sudan economic relations with Germany and opportunities of enhancing them
President refuted in the interview a number of allegations circulated by the western mass media
He stressed that the elections will be held in the fixed time
President Al-Bashir welcomes cooperation in the economic field with any western country
