Kosti, Mar. 14 (SUNA)- The candidate of the National Congress for the position of the president of the republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has reiterated Sudan rejection to the western pressures
Addressing a mass rally Sunday at Hurriya Square in
Kosti, the capital of the White Nile State, for launching his election campaign in the state, Al-Bashir stressed that there will not be hesitation to defend the dignity and pride of the Sudanese people
He said that the decisive word in the coming elections will be for the Sudanese people, adding that the Sudanese people are known for their awareness and enlightenment
He pledged to restore and to gather the agricultural schemes and to provide them with electricity power for enhancement of the citizens' living conditions. Al-Bashir said that the state will go ahead in implementing general, technical and technological education institutions as well as hospitals and health centers and providing electricity for all the villages in the White Nile State
He gave a directive for commencement of work to provide electricity for Al-Jabalain town, pledging to work for providing clean water for all the urban and rural areas
Al-Bashir said that Kosti is regarded a model city for peaceful co-existence between the Sudanese people, adding that the White Nile is the state of sugar and ethanol and will be the state of petroleum
