Kuala Lumpur, 14 March (SUNA) - The 2nd deliberative conference of Sudan's Ambassadors across Asia Saturday concluded its session at the premises of Sudan's embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and issued its recommendations. In this regard, Sudan's Ambassador to Malaysia, Ambassador Nader Yousef Al-Tayeb, said in a statement to the press following the
closing session that the conference recommended in its final communiqué the necessity of activating and developing Sudan's relations with Asian countries, focusing on economic, trade and investment aspects besides the political coordination and activation of diplomatic representation in the Asian continent, both Resident and non-resident, as well as the need to attach much concern with the issues of the Sudanese communities across the continent of Asia. Ambassador Al-Tayeb explained that the recommendations also included enhancement of cooperation with regard to issues of human resources, training, capacity-building and transfer of technology and the know-how, noting that the next deliberative conference of Sudan's Ambassadors in Asia will be held in the Indian capital New Delhi. It is to be noted that the second deliberative conference of Ambassadors of the Sudan in Asian countries, lasted for two days in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, covered topics related to Sudan's relations with the Asian countries, particularly in political, economic, artistic and cultural domains. The Ambassadors of Sudan in Malaysia, China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, India and Pakistan presented number of working papers in the conference, covering all the economic, political, trade and diplomatic aspects, as well as non-resident representations in some Asian countries besides discussing some administrative issues of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Sudanese diplomats showed increasing interest in developing Sudan's relations with the Asian countries and exchanged views about the development of the relations with the East Asian countries in light of the achievements made so far, particularly with regard to spheres of economic, trade and cooperation with the countries of the Asian continent. In this connection, SUNA interviewed number of Ambassadors who participated in the conference, saying that the conference was very important and that the discussions were extensive in all the issues raised during the conference, explaining that it came out with useful recommendations related to the development of Sudan's relations with East Asian countries, describing the conference as an important and strategic meeting.
