Chairman of the NEC received at his office at the premises of the NEC the Russian special envoy for Sudan, Mikhail Margelov. The meeting discussed the election process in the country and horizons of cooperation between Sudan and Russia. Abil Alier said that the NEC is committed to holding free and fair elections and has already took the initiative and invited several countries and regional and international organizations to participate in monitoring the elections in a view that the international observation confirms the credibility and transparency of the elections and will further strengthen the confidence of voters.
