Khartoum. March 11 (SUNA) - The National Election Commission, headed by its chairman Abel Alier, on Thursday reaffirmed that it remains the sole body that is responsible for the management of the elections in the country
The Commission pointed out in reply to the
memorandum submitted by political forces recently, that it was committed to the principle of transparency, the spirit of cooperation and that it follows the consultation, makes contacts and uses to hold meetings with political parties, collectively and individually, held a number of workshops and consultation meetings to which invitations were extended through the Council for Political Parties
The Commission pointed out that it has noted the weak participation of political parties in those activities. It stressed that it is still engaged in meetings and consultations with all political parties that are involved in the election process
