Khartoum, Mar 11 (SUNA)-Sudan and Yemen agreed to unite their stances in favour of the 77 Group and China to confront the increasing risk of climate changes. The agreement was reached in a meeting Thursday between the Secretary General of the Higher Council
of Environment, Dr Nur-Eddin Ibrahim, and a Yemeni delegation currently visiting the country to be informed about Sudan's experience and its dealing with climate changes during its last chairmanship of the Group. The delegation heard a report on the action plan, work organization and coordination with other groups. The Yemeni delegation included the Undersecretary of Water and Environment, Hussein Alawe and Chairman of General Corporation of Environment Protection, Dr Mahmoud Sherew. Yemen has assumed the chairmanship of the group this year. AH/MO
