Bentiu, Mar. 10 (SUNA)- The candidate of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement for Democratic Change for the position of the President of the Government of South Sudan, Dr. Lam Akol, has affirmed his determination to make a big change in the situation in south Sudan
Addressing a mass rally in Bentiu
Wednesday on the launching of his election campaign, Dr. Akol said that south Sudan did not witness a remarkable development process in the past five years, pledging to work out policies and plans for effecting change in all the aspects pertinent to development in south Sudan
He said that his party was established for the interest of the citizen, freedom, security and rehabilitation of the infrastructures
Dr. Akol criticized the views of the advocates of separation, adding that the current situation at the region does not encourage absolutely the establishment of a sovereign state with government institutions
He promised to work, if he is elected to be the President of the Government of South Sudan, for reformation of the civil service and qualification of the Armed Forces and the Police forces
