Khartoum, Mar. 8 (SUNA)- The independent candidate for the position of the President of the republic, Mahmoud Ahmed Jiha, has called on all the political forces to agree on a political consensus programme, which represents the minimum level on the issues of security, health and
citizens' living conditions. Interviewed by Sudan News Agency, Jiha said that his election programme is based on the axes of the citizen, good life for the citizen, health and medical treatment and powers
He said that his election programme for the axis of the citizen begins by removing grievances, while the decent life for the citizen begins by providing bread, wheat, dairy and clean water, adding that the health and medical treatment axis begins by giving care to children, orphans, pregnant women, divorced women, widows, retired persons, elders and providing education. He said that the citizen axis represents the basis for the building of the state and the society and realizing development in the country
Jiha said that the good living axis in his election programme includes the social security, combating of crime, the nomads, the displaced people, the refugees, women, youths, marriage, the family, farmers, craftsmen, workers, herdsmen, unemployed people, culture, the media, arts, the expatriates , immigration, good administration and combating of corruption and bribery. He said that the population axis in his programme deals with the freedom of trade, the economy, investment, development, agriculture, forestry, industry and electricity power, fisheries, oil, mineral resources, water and irrigation, combating of drought and desertification, transport, roads and bridges, sea ports, land and air transport
Jiha said that the axis of powers includes the armed Forces, the security and intelligence and the other regular forces, the civil service, appointment of a prime minister, the federal government, the Comprehensive Peace Agreement and Darfur peace agreement, Darfur and south Sudan issues, the regional relations and the relations with the neighbouring countries, the international relations with the super countries and the international institutions
He said that his election programme gives great concern to the issue of realizing political stability and creating an atmosphere favourable for rule. Independent nominee for the presidency stressed the importance of the pending challenges which include peace, unity and the living conditions and the solution of Darfur issue
