Cairo, Mar. 9 (SUNA) - The Director of the Sudan Department at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador. Mohamed Gasim, explained that invitations were extended to 80 countries to participate in the International Conference of Donors for the
Development and Rehabilitation in Darfur, which is scheduled to be held in Cairo on March.21, co-chaired by Turkey and Egypt and sponsored by the Organization of Islamic Conference
The ambassador indicated that 25 donor countries, UN organizations, the World Bank, the African Union, Arab League as well as non-governmental organizations such as the Arab Doctors Union will take part in the conference. He pointed out that the conference aims at providing two billion dollars to fund implementation of various projects which will be presented before the conference
