Khartoum, Feb. 28 (SUNA) - Sudan Scholars Committee has called on the voters in the coming elections to refrain from violence and hatred and to stick to good electoral process
This came when the Deputy Chairman of
the National Elections Commission, Professor Abdalla Ahmed Abdalla, received Sunday a delegation of Sudan Scholars headed by Abdalla Yousif Maulana, in the presence of the Secretary General Dr. Jalal Mohamed Ahmed
The Scholars of Sudan affirmed their support to the NEC until the completion of the final stages of the electoral process, promising to present many programmes to the voters and to urge them to avoid lashes and accept the result of elections with an open mind
Professor Abdalla briefed the delegation on the progress of the electoral process since receiving the result of the population census, the stage of demarcation of the geographical constituencies, the elections register to the elections campaign
He also briefed the Scholars delegation on the executive and legislative levels of the election, women and party lists, affirming that the doors are open to all who wish to observe and monitor the elections locally, regionally and internationally, stressing that the observation gives a certificate of confidence of the electoral process and promote confidence in the integrity to the voters.
