He said that the framework agreement was an important fruit
of the negotiations in Doha, and a major step for achieving peace in the region
The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that the agreement reflected the keenness and honesty of Sudan government and the concerned groups in Darfur to reach a solution for Darfur issue through negotiations
The spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry also praised the continuous efforts of the Qatari and Chadian governments, and the Joint Mediator of the UN and the African Union
He called on the other concerned parties in Darfur issue to join the peace process
He also called on the international community to regard the framework agreement as opportunity to foster the political process toward reaching a proper and comprehensive peaceful solution and realizing permanent peace, stability and development in Darfur and the whole Sudan
