Doha, Feb. 22 (SUNA)- A quartet summit is due to begin Tuesday in the Qatari capital, Doha, between the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, the President of Chad, Idris Deby, and the Eritrean President, Assais Afwerki
SUNA learned that the summit will synchronize with a ceremony for the signing of a peace agreement between the government and the Justice and Equality Movement in Doha
The summit will discuss means of achieving peace in the region, welcoming the steps for realizing peace in Darfur, progress of the relations between Qatar, Sudan, Chad and Eritrea and other issues of mutual concern. MO/MO
