Khartoum, Feb. 21 (SUNA)- The People's Committee of Darfur Tribes for Peace and Unity Sunday issued a statement on the occasion of the signing of a framework agreement as overture to sign a lasting peace agreement. The committee affirmed its support to the
agreement which was reached between the national unity government and the leadership of the Justice and Equality Movement
The statement regarded the agreement as step forward for signing a comprehensive and lasting peace agreement for Darfur. The committee has appreciated the efforts done by the President of Chad, Idris Deby, for the signing of the agreement. MO/MO
