Khartoum, Feb. 21 (SUNA) - The Special envoy of the US President for Sudan, Scott Gration, has welcomed the framework agreement which was signed on
Saturday in the Chadian, Ndjamena, between the government and the Justice and Equality Movement
He said that the United States will exert utmost efforts to push the agreement forward for realizing a lasting peace for all the Sudanese people
The US official said in press statement following his meeting Sunday with the Vice - President, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, that they discussed a number of issues, including the developments in the Sudanese - Chadian relations in the context of the efforts being exerted to reach a comprehensive peace in Darfur and the implementation of the remaining issues in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).
