Khartoum, Feb. 10 (SUNA) - The National Elections Commission Wednesday announced the final lists of the nominees for the presidency of the republic, the presidency of the Government of South Sudan and the executive and legislative positions all over Sudan

Member of the commission and chairman of the technical committee for the elections, Gen. Al-Hadi Mohamed Ahmed, said that the final list of the candidates for the presidency of the republic included 12 persons, who are: Omer Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir (the National Congress), Abdalla Deng Niyal (the People's Congress), Yasser Saeed Arman (Sudan People's Liberation Movement), Mubarak Abdalla Al-Fadil (the Umma Party - Reform and Modernization), Al-Saddiq Al-Mahdi (the National Umma Party), Abdul-Aziz Khalid (the Sudanese National Alliance), Kamel Al-Tayeb Idris (independent), Hatim Al-Sir (the democratic Unionist Party), Mohamed Ibrahim Nugod (the Sudanese Communist Party), Mahmoud Ahmed Jiha (idependent), Fatima Abdul-Mahmoud (the Sudanese democratic Socialist Party), and Munir Sheikh-Eddin Munir (the New National Democratic Forum)

He said that the National Election Commission approved finally two candidates for the position of the President of the Government of South Sudan, who are Salva Kiir Mayardit (Sudan People's Liberation Movement), and Lam Akol Ajawin (Sudan People's Liberation Movement - Democratic Change). MO/MO
