Second conference for Arab Chinese cooperation

Second Arab -Chinese Conference  Khartoum/ 30/1/ SUNA/ The second Arab -Chinese conference was held late last week at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum by the contribution of the Arab league and the presence of many participants including specialists and those concerned by the energy issue from the two sides, the Arabs and the Chinese .

This conference is considered as a pillar for the world economy and development of the international relations. Uz. Ali Osman Mohamed Taha , Vice President of the Republic described the conference as a model to be adopted in the sphere of all relations between the south - south countries because it has realized unprecedented successes .While addressing the inaugural session of the conference , he affirmed the necessity of developing the relations between China and the Arab countries , calling for reaching promising agreements and recommendations that serve the two sides and enhances the joint relations. The conference reviewed many working papers about oil and natural gas and the petrochemical industries. Also some papers discussed electricity and means of energy usages, the renewed energy and the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes .Dr. Jameel Tahir director of the economic administration and Abdul Fatah Dandi an economic research at the Arab Petroleum exporting countries explained in a paper they presented jointly to the conference that the Arab countries oil reserve amounts to 57.7% from the world reserve while the Chinese reserve amounts to 1.4% from the total of the world reserve. Meanwhile the Arab oil production according to AWAPIC reaches 23.7 million barrels per day at a percentage rate of 27.5 from the world total production compared with the Chinese production which is 3.8 million barrels per day at a percentage rate of 4.4% .Regarding the significance of the available amounts of oil in the Arab states the paper explained that its importance is in its future role represented in meeting the world needs generally and the developing countries specially .According to the World Bank expectations the Chinese economic growth will in the wrong run, surpass the United States economic growth , and the Arabs have established various successful relations with China under the current changes in the world .Although the Arab world have a successful and promising future in regard to the natural resources specially the oil production , China is also making an economic integration with the Arab countries .
