Khartoum, Jan. 27 (SUNA) - The Director General of the Islamic Relief Agency, Dr. Al-Saeed Osman Al-Sheikh, affirmed that the agency has contributed to the development of the poor societies in Africa, Asia and all the parts of the world.
Dr. Al-Sheikh, addressing the regular forum of the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) Wednesday pointed out that his agency extends distinguished humanitarian services to the refugees, the displaced people as well as the victims of disasters and disputes in the form of educational and health services, besides supporting orphans and widows by the intensification and development of joint social projects, training, income increase and capacity building to guarantee sustainable development. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agency, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al-As, reviewed the leading role of the organization in Sudan and abroad in coordination with the United Nations specialized agencies and the international and local organizations operating in Darfur at various fields.
