 Khartoum, Jan. 29 (SUNA)- The State Minister at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Bagi Al-Jailani, said that the ministry id cooperating with the Relief Commission in South Sudan in dealing with the humanitarian situation in the south.

 He said in a statement to SUNA that the current humanitarian situation in the south is miserable and the humanitarian indicators there are still weak. Dr. Al-Jailani referred to shortages of food and water and security setbacks in Jongoli and the Upper Nile States. He said that the donors did not abide by the commitment that they declared in last August to provide 22 million dollars, adding that the current efforts to deal with the humanitarian situation in the south are carried out jointly between the Government of South Sudan and the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
