Khartoum, Jan. 28 (SUNA) - Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, has called for reactivation of the security plan for the coming elections and providing all the requirements in this regard.
This came when Taha received in his office Thursday the Minister of Interior, Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid, who acquainted the Vice - President on the general security situation in the country and the performance of the Ministry of Interior in the year 2009. The minister said that all the states of Sudan are witnessing stability, especially the states of Darfur, the Blue Nile and South Korodofan. He also referred to the decrease in crime rate in all states. He added that a number of meetings will be held to review the new policies in the fields of immigration and aliens' existence in collaboration with the concerned organs.
