Khartoum, Jan. 28 (SUNA) - The Minister of Energy and Mining and head of the Arab party at the Arab - Chinese Cooperation Forum and chairman of the Arab party at the Arab - Chinese Cooperation Forum, which concluded its 2nd session in Khartoum Thursday.
Al-Zubair Ahmed Al-Hassan, has affirmed the readiness to implement the recommendation of the forum. Addressing the concluding sitting of the forum Thursday, the minister said that the forum recommendations to set up a mechanism for follow-up and partnership are in the correct step toward enhancement of the coordination and coordination. The minister urged the Arab states pave the way for transfer the Chinese technology to utilize the Chinese expertise, particularly in domains of nuclear power, oil, gas and electricity. He expressed his thanks to all those who have contributed to the success of the forum; top of them is the Arab League and concerned Arab organizations and ministers, representatives of Arab States and the Chinese side, besides the organizing Committee and the media. Meanwhile, the Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League for Economic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Tuwaijri, addressed the final sitting and urged the Arabs States to make use of the Chinese technological experience, especially in the areas of the transfer of technology. He explained that the Arab countries need assistance in all areas, especially in the political, economic, and cultural aspects besides the international relations. Deputy Director of the Oil and Gas at Chinese National Energy Authority said that the cooperation between the Chinese and Arab parties is ever increasing and has been materialized in tangible results, affirming that more than two-thirds of the Arab countries have strong relations of cooperation with China. He also called for enhancement of communication and consultation in the field of energy and establishment of mechanisms for cooperation for consolidating the cooperation between China and the Arab countries. He explained that energy is an important issue for China and the developing countries due to its impact for raising the standard of living and the safety of environment. The Chinese official described the Sudanese - Chinese cooperation in the field of oil as a model one for South - South cooperation.
