Doha, Jan. 26 (SUNA)- Representative of the Addis Ababa Group for participation in the current Consultations in Doha, Ibrahim Yousif Banij, has described as positive their consultations Tuesday with the Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Ahmed bin Abdalla Al Mahmoud, and the joint UN and African Union mediator, Djibril Bassole. In statement to the press at Sheraton Hotel Tuesday, Banij affirmed the support of eight movements, which are signatories of road map in Addis Ababa, to the efforts of the mediation and its keenness to work for realization of peace in Darfur. He said that the group's delegation arrived in Doha to consult with the other movements for reaching peace in Darfur. Nanij affirmed the readiness of Addis Ababa group to integrate and to unite its stance with other movements at the negotiations in Doha. He expressed the hope of Addis Ababa group that all parties will achieve genuine peace in Darfur region shortly. Meanwhile, he lauded the great efforts being exerted by the mediation for realizing comprehensive peace in Darfur.
