Doha, Jan. 26 (SUNA)- The Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed bin Abdalla AL Mahmoud, announced that the mediation has felt, through the consultations it held.
the desire of the armed factions of Darfur for achieving a peaceful solution for Darfur issue as well as their readiness to continue negotiations through Doha forum till realization of peace in Darfur. In a statement to the press Tuesday, Al Mahmoud said that such a desire is an important issue and a positive step which is encouraging to the mediation. He said that the other important thing that the mediation has felt was the desire of the factions of Darfur for openness to each other and to unite their stance during the negotiations. He regarded his meeting Tuesday with Addis Ababa Group as "fruitful", adding that this group has affirmed its readiness for meetings and contacts with the other factions and movements toward uniting their stance in the negotiations. Al Mahmoud said that the mediation will set its programme for the negotiation after completion of the consultations and contacts with all the movements.
