Al-Fasher, Jan. 27 (SUNA) - The Senior Assistant of the President of the Republic, the Chairman of the Transitional Darfur Regional Authority (TDRA), Meni Arko Menawi, launched Wednesday in Al-Fasher city the start of work for implementing Al-Fasher water project.
Menawi, addressing a celebration on the occasion, said that the implementation of water projects in Darfur is given a top priority of TDRA and is one of the plans which were prepared by Joint Assessment Mission (JAM) and supported by the World Bank, adding that the total cost of the project was put at 80 million dollars. He called on all the concerned circles to exert utmost efforts to implement the project, referring to the role being done by the federal Ministry of Finance, the Presidency of the Republic and TDRA toward the implementation of the project.
