Sharmal-Sheikh, Nov. 8 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has postponed his visit for Turkey to participate in the Islamic Economic Summit. In a phone call with the President of Turkey Sunday, President Al-Bashir referred to the developments that necessitate his stay in Sudan in the coming days.
He told the President of Turkey, Abdullah Gül, that the ongoing dialogue between the two partners -the National Congress and Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) - necessitates the postponement of his visit to Turkey in order to boost the consultations and contacts for reaching solutions for the pending issues. President Al-Bashir thanked President Gül for the invitation that he conveyed to him to take part in the Islamic Economic Summit in Istanbul. The Turkish President accepted the apology of President Al-Bashir and expressed his hope that President Al-Bashir will visit Turkey shortly. MO/MO
