The Presidential Advisor and member of the Leadership Council of the National Congress, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail Khartoum, Oct. 27 (SUNA) - The Presidential Advisor and member of the Leadership Council of the National Congress, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, said that the strategy of dealing between the National Congress and Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) will not be affected by the tactical stances and the statements which are

mostly not deliberate. In a statement at the Headquarters of the National Congress Tuesday, Dr. Ismail affirmed the National Congress commitment to the issues that the National Congress and the SPLM have agreed upon. He said that the National Congress considers the agreement reached between the two parties on the referendum as valid and existing unless the SPLM officially declares its withdrawal from this agreement, but not only through a press conference. Dr. Ismail referred to statements that the SPLM tended to give with the aim to gain concessions from the National Congress side, adding that the National Congress is aware about this move, and it is keen to resolve the issues of the homeland and the partnership. He said that the National Congress is keen to maintain dialogue with the SPLM and to reactivate the political contacts between the two parties, despite the National Congress awareness that the SPLM will not stop the daily tactics that are being adopted by some members of the movement, top of them is its Secretary General. Dr. Ismail said that the National Congress is keen to keep open the channels of contact and dialogue between it and the SPLM, referring to the recent meeting held between the President of the Republic and the First Vice - President before his visit to Cairo, indicating that this meeting tackled issues in a spirit of accord and partnership. He said that the National Congress also calls on all the political forces to participate seriously in the Parliament works toward achieving accord on the national issues, adding that the National Congress looks forward for achieving a common vision by all the political forces in a manner that prevents Alliance parties from boycotting the Parliament sittings.
