Khartoum, Oct. 27 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has appreciated the performance of the Council of the Political Parties Affairs in the past period and pledged to support the council in carrying out its mission.
This came when President Al-Bashir received Tuesday at the Republican Palace the council's Chairman, Mohamed Bushara Dosa, who handed President Al-Bashir a report on the performance of the Council of the Political Parties Affairs. After the meeting, President Al-Bashir said that the performance of the council was appreciated by the political parties. President Al-Bashir called on the council to help training cadres of the political parties for the coming elections. Chairman of the Council of the Political Parties Affairs said that the performance report included the activities of the political parties with regard to the organization and registration of the political parties and the following up of their activities through the parties' general conferences toward supporting the democratic transformation process in the country. Dosa said that there are 79 registered political parties that are entitled to carry out their political activities and to run the coming elections. MO/MO
