Damazin, Oct. 27 (SUNA) - The Blue Nile State has completed preparations to receive on Wednesday the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir. Deputy Wali (governor) of the state, Ahmed Karamino, said in a statement to SUNA that President Al-Bashir will inaugurate during his two-day visit to the Blue Nile
State Damazin Airport, Al-Wohda (unity) Hall, Damazin Hospital and Mekka Eye Hospital. Karamino said that President Al-Bashir will address a mass rally in Damazin and attend a mass wedding of 1600 couples and a graduation ceremony for 2500 students at the Engineering Faculty in Rossaires. He said that President Al-Bashir will also launch in the first day of his visit the illumination of Damazin Stadium and attend a sports and cultural festival at the stadium. The Deputy Wali indicated that the President of the Republic will meet in the second day of his visit with the officers, non commissioned officers and men of the Fourth Infantry Brigade, address the Legislative Assembly of the Blue Nile State, inaugurate a heritage exhibition and chair a meeting of the federal Council of Ministers at Malik Cultural Centre which will review the plans and programmes of the partnership government and the peace process in the state. He said that President Al-Bashir will inspect the process for heightening Rossaires Dam by the end of his visit to the Blue Nile State. MO/MO
