Ministers of Economic Development Sector in States Conclude Meeting

Khartoum, March 11 (SUNA) - The ministers of the economic development sector in the states Sunday concluded their meeting which was organized by the Cabinet Affairs Ministry, in the presence of the Cabinet Affairs Minister, Ahmed Sa'ad Omer, and number of the federal ministers.

The meeting was briefed by the Presidential Advisor and Rapporteur of the Higher Council for Investment, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, on the efforts being exerted to create an atmosphere that is attractive for investment.

Dr. Ismail announced that a draft of the Investment Act was prepared in order to remove an duplicity and to enhance the coordination between the centre and the states, besides encouraging investment in the remote states.

The meeting also was informed on visions of a number of ministers and state ministers on the relations and coordination between the centre and the states in various fields, besides the allocation and control of national revenues.

Meanwhile, the meeting reviewed a paper on the application of the electronic government, presented by the Director of the National Centre for Information, Engineer Mubarak Mohamed Ahmed, saying that the objective of the electronic government is to present satisfactory governmental services.
The ministers of the economic development in the states stressed the importance of such like such meetings to unite the visions and views and enhancing the performance.
They also stressed the importance of improving the investment infrastructures and providing communication services in the states and providing funds for agriculture.

The ministers also stressed the importance of establishing training centers and attraction for investment in the states.
