Khartoum, Jan. 29 (SUNA)- The Wali (governor) of South Darfur State, Ahmed Haroun, announced that the Armed Forces and the Security authorities have liberated 14 of the Chinese workers who were kidnapped by the rebels of Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) - North Sector at Al-Abbasiya area in South Kordofan State.
He said in a statement to SUNA that the liberated Chinese persons are in good condition and evacuated to Al-Obeid city, the capital of North Kordofan State.
The Wali said that life has returned to its normal course at Al-Abbasiya Tagali town.
He said that the town was secured and the government facilities and the services at it are progressing normally.
Haroun affirmed that the operations are continuing to liberate all areas in South Kordofan from the rebellion.
It is to be recalled that the SPLM has staged an aggression on the villages around Al-Abbasiya and detained a group of the Chinese workers operating with the company which is implementing the circle road in South Kordofan State.
