Addis Ababa, Jan 27, 2012 (SUNA) A quartet summit attended by President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, the South Sudan President Salva Kiir, the Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki and the Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi was held here today in the presence of the former South African President, Chairperson of the AU High Level Panel Thabo Mbeki.
It is worth mentioning that President Al-Bashir has held a closed meeting with the Sudanese delegation to the Sudan-South Sudan negotiations on oil before the start of this summit.
The president, who has arrived at the Ethiopian capital Friday to attend the AU 18th Summit, was briefed by the delegation, headed by the State Minister at the Presidency Idrees Mohamed Abdul-Gadir, on the latest developments of the talks which took place last week.
