Khartoum, Jan. 26 (SUNA)- The Council of Ministers, chaired by the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, approved Thursday a number of agreement, including the agreement on establishment of UNESCO Chair for Bio-Sciences' Ethics at the University of Khartoum, through a report presented by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Khamis Kajo Kinda.
The Cabinet approved two agreements in the field of transport, presented by the Minister of Transport, Roads and Bridges, Dr. Babiker Nihar - the first one with Saudi Arabia in the spheres of passengers and commodity transport on land roads, while the second was signed with Chad and deals with the use of facilities and ports in Port-Sudan for trade and crossing of Chadian commodities.
The Council of Ministers further approved two agreements - the first was on support to the cooperation with Qatar in the field of customs, while the second was an agreement on a loan of 111 million dollars from the Arab Economic Development Bank for establishment of the Electricity Station of Atbara and Setet Dams.
