Khartoum, Jan. 22 (SUNA) - The Wali (governor) of Central Darfur State, Yousif Tibin, said that the Minister of Information has affirmed his full readiness to supply the new states in Darfur with all the possible mass media and to cooperate with them in full in the information field.
In a statement to the press after a meeting he held with the new Wali (governor) of West Darfur, Yousif Tibin, the Minister of Information, Abdalla Ali Massar, hoped that the new states will be linked as soon as possible with the different mass media and Sudan news.
He hoped that the media will reach the citizens at their villages at the remote areas.
Tibin said that their meeting with the Minister of Information to be informed about the plans of the Ministry of Information, especially its role in reflecting the news and developments in the new states.
Meanwhile, the Minister of West Darfur, Haidar Galokoma, described their meeting with the Minister of Information as successful, indicating that the Minister has pledged to enhance the activity of the media in the states.
He appreciated the great role being played by the media, affirming his government keenness to realize development and to provide security and stability in West Darfur State.
Galokoma also affirmed his government concern with the voluntary repatriation of the displaced people to his home villages so as to contribute to the production and development at their areas.
