Khartoum, March 27 (SUNA) - The Minister of Industry, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al- Jaz, discussed with the Egyptian Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, Sameer El-Sayyad, means of boosting the horizons of the economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries
Present in the meeting was the Minister of Foreign Trade, Professor, Elias Nyamlel Wakoson
The two sides agreed to establish a joint programme for boosting cooperation in domains of and food processing industries by focusing on agricultural industry
Dr. El-Jaz stressed the importance of making use of the spirit of the Egyptian Revolution in pushing forward the bilateral relations in order to serve the interests of the people of the two countries besides removing all impediments before joint investments and encouraging exports between the two countries according to certain schedules
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Minister of Industry and Trade, on his part, affirmed the intention of his country to boost its relations with Sudan
He explained that Sudan is the destination of the first external visit of the Government of the Egyptian Revolution a matter which demonstrates Egypt's orientation towards the Arab World, explaining the joint interests are the base of the relations linking the peoples of the two countries of the Nile Valley
We seek to develop a solid foundation for relations in the industrial and commercial domains, expressed his country's cooperation in the field of institutional support and financing of industries besides increasing the volume of trade exchange and removing impediments facing meat exports to Egypt
He further reiterated Egypt's readiness to provide logistic support in the fields of roads, mining and cooling transport in order to speed up trade as well encouraging of investment between the Sudanese and Egyptian private Sectors and removing obstacles before the agreement of the four freedoms signed between the two countries
Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Trade, Prof. Elias Nyamlel Wakoson, affirmed Sudan's keenness to create balance in the trade balance between the two countries as well as increasing the Sudanese Exports and activating the joint technical committees
The Egyptian Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade invited the Sudanese Ministers of Industry and Foreign Trade to visit Cairo as well as setting date for the meeting of the joint technical committee
The Chairman of the Federation of the Sudanese Businessmen and Employers, Saoud Mamoun El-Birair, affirmed the importance of encouraging the joint investment and increasing Sudan's exports to Egypt besides making use of the Egyptian expertise in the domains of processing industries and maintain the economic stability and trade balance
