Kuwait, Jan. 12 (SUNA) - Kuwait and Sudan have signed a memorandum of understanding with regard to Sudan's joining the Global Legal Information Network (GLIN) of Kuwait through the regional center of the Network in the Kuwaiti Ministry of Justice
The memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs and the Minister of Justice, Rashed Al-Hammad, and the Undersecretary of Sudan's Ministry of Justice Abbdul-Dayem Zumrawi
Meanwhile, Zumrawi commended the stances of the State of Kuwait as well as its support to the legal and judicial institutions in Sudan, besides Sudan participation in the GLIN and the training opportunities on its systems
Meanwhile, a senior Kuwaiti official, Consoler Al-Hamad said that Sudan keenness to join the network reflected its far-sigh and its advanced legal and judicial dimensions beside the similarity of the determination to DEVELOP an electronic data-base to comprise the whole region and world
He also expressed his hope that signing of the memorandum will contribute to motivating the Arab States to upgrade the network to serve the Arab legal systems with regard to justice, judicial and legislative aspects, besides consolidating cooperation of the Arab societies and governments
It is to be noted that the memorandum stipulated for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Justice to take arrangements in collaboration with the chairman of the GLIN to facilitate Sudan's participation in its regular events. MF/MO
