Khartoum, December 12 (SUNA) - The Minister of Information, Dr. Kamal Obaid, announced that the implementation of joint Sudanese - Eritrean information and media programme will begin next month
Dr. Obaid said in a statement to SUNA following his meeting with his Eritrean counterpart, Ali Abdu Ahmed, at his office Sunday that the meeting focused on the joint work programme between the two countries, horizons of cooperation as well as the implementation mechanism as prepared by the technical experts in Sudan Radio, TV and Sudan News Agency (SUNA). The minister said that the Arab States Broadcasting Union stressed the importance of boosting Arab - African cooperation in the domains of mass media and satellites, affirming that the current cooperation between Sudan and Eritrea is one of the fruits of the Arab and African cooperation
Meanwhile, the Eritrean Minister of Information, Ali Abdu Ahmed, said that the cooperation between the two countries will not be confined to the information domain, but will increase to include the political, economic, cultural and social fields as well. He explained that the cooperation between Sudan and Eritrea includes the exchange of visits of officials in charge of the media and information
