 Khartoum, Aug. 23 (SUNA) - The government has assigned a sum of 1.9 billion dollars for implementing developmental projects in the three Darfur states

Meanwhile, a meeting of the higher committee for implementation of Darfur peace strategy, chaired by the Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman

 Mohamed Taha, Monday discussed the projects that will be implemented in the coming period, the funds for development projects as well as the coordination between the concerned organs for implementing roads, electricity, water, health and education projects in addition to the rehabilitation of the voluntary return villages and providing them with agricultural production equipments

The Minister of Finance, Ali Mahmoud, said that the meeting decided completing establishment of the Western Salvation Road at the cost of 304 million dollars, besides rehabilitation of a number of projects in the three states of Darfur
