Kadugli, Aug. 22 (SUNA) - Chairman of the Legislative Council of South Kordufan, Ibrahim Mohamed Balendiya, said that the people's consultation system is a good meansof the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) to solve the political issue and the disputes between the centre and the states

Interviewed by SUNA and Kadugli TV, Balendiya said the the people's consultation method will be conducted through a democratic mechanism to reflect the views of the citizens on the political, constitutional, wealth sharing issues as well as the administrative and security aspects

Chairman of the Legislative Council of South Kordufan explained that only the elected legislative council is authorized to practice the people's consultations at the end of the interim period according to the Act of People's Consultations for South Kordufan and the Blue Nile State

Meanwhile, Balendiya explained that the Government of South Kordufan has benefited from experiences of Kenya and Indonesia regarding the people's consultation, affirming that workshops are being organized all over the state to raise public awareness about the concept of people's consolation
