 Khartoum, Aug. 15 (SUNA) – The Minister of Science and Technology Dr. Issa Bashari, will address at the Cannon Hotel Monday the Coordinative Meeting of Project on Radiation Therapy for Man Health, organized by the Sudanese Atomic Energy Corporation, in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)

Experts in this field from 11 African countries, including Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Congo, Zambia and Sudan, are due to partake in the meeting, besides experts from IAEA

The meeting is to be held with the aim to set out and review action plans and programmes for the project of radiation treatment for the man health, supported financially and administratively by the International Atomic Energy Agency at a sum of nearly one million US dollars

The Director of the Sudanese Atomic Energy Corporation, Prof. Mohamed Hassan Al-Tayeb, explained that the project aims to the bolstering and expanding the use of the radiation treatment for serving people and environment health and the use of the radiation technology for combating environment pollution
