 Khartoum, Aug. 15 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, and the Eritrean President, Issais Afewerki, are due to inaugurate next month Kassala - Laffa- Eritrea road, which was financed by Qatar at cost of 12 million US dollars

This was announced by the Assistant of the President of the Republic, Musa Mohamed Ahmed, who met with President Al-Bashir at the Republican Palace Sunday and received a written message for the Eritrean President concerning the bilateral relations and means of boosting the joint cooperation between Khartoum and Asmara

The Assistant of the President said to SUNA that establishment of the road came in accordance with the directives of the leaderships of the two countries to facilitate the movement of the citizens via the identity cards, increase the trade exchange at the border area and to consolidate the social and cultural contacts
