New York, August 14 (SUNA) - Ambassador Dafalla Al-Haj Ali presented Saturday his credentials to the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon as Permanent Envoy of the Republic of Sudan to the United Nations

At the out set of the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed greetings and appreciation of the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, to the UN Secretary General for the efforts being exerted by the organization in Sudan through its two peace missions in South Sudan and Darfur in addition to the other UN agencies operating in Sudan

The Permanent Envoy affirmed his readiness to provide all the possible assistances and information to help the UN Secretary General Office to get acquainted with the current developments in Sudan

Meanwhile, the UN Secretary General welcomed the ambassador and asked him to convey his greetings to the President of the Republic and the Sudanese leadership
