Khartoum, August 2 (SUNA) - The National Congress Party (NC) and the Sudan Liberation Movement have signed a Strategic and Political Partnership Agreement between the two sides to framework cooperation between the two sides to implement the provisions of the Darfur Peace Agreement signed in Abuja to complete the partnership with regard to the domain of power, wealth sharing as well as security arrangements and return of the Internally Displaced Persons and refugees to their homes and villages

The agreement which was signed by Dr. Kamal Obeid of the NC and Dr. Al-Rayeh Mohmoud Guma of the Sudan Liberation Movement stipulates supporting the unity option as strategic goal, unifying of visions and strengthening peace efforts in Darfur and all the parts of the country

The two sides agreed to work for holding the Referendum in its set date, the voluntary unity based on equality of rights and duties, citizenship and on supporting all the efforts in this connection
