Khartoum, June 17 (SUNA)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Ahmed Karti, has received invitation from the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdalla bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, to participate in the Conference on Horizons of Cooperation between the Arab World and the Pacific Islands, which will be held in Abu-Dhabi during June 23 - 24 In a statement to SUNA, the Director of the Arab Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abdalla Al-Azraq, said that the conference provides a good opportunity to consider establishment of political, cultural and economic
partnerships with the countries of the Pacific Islands, acquaint these Islands with the Arab stances and exchanging views on the common challenges that face the two regions He said that the Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet on the sidelines of the conference with his counterparts from Arab and Pacific countries to discuss progress of the bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern
The conference will be held in coordination with the Arab League
