Khartoum, June 9 (SUNA) - The Secretary General of the Sudan People Liberation Movement- Democratic Change, Dr. Lam Akol , described the movement of the International Criminal Courts (ICC) against the President of the Republic as a political decision which is out of the jurisdiction of ICC He added that the ICC decision targets Sudan and the African countries and has nothing to do with the justice This came at a symposium organized by the Sudanese Media Centre at Al-Fateh Tower Hotel
Wednesday, in the presence of the former Minister of Justice, Mohamed Ali Al-Mardi, and the Lawyer Ghazi Suleiman Al-Mardi affirmed that the ICC is the one of the western tools, explaining that Sudan is not a signatory of the Rome Statutory establishing to the ICC, adding that the ICC decision is considered false from the procedural aspect The Lawyer Ghazi Suleiman asserted that the ICC decision legally can not convict Sudan or expose the President to arrest because it was issued through succumbing to political agenda that were intended to humiliate the Sudanese people and their government Suleiman pointed out that the ICC decision depended on data collection from organizations and some rebel factions, revealing that ICC has received more than 8,000 complaints all of them from Africa
